My fairytales were your words.
They were gracious
and soft
melancholies
that made me cry
no tears.
My fairytales weren't fairytales, at all.
Your words
did not have
a happy ending--
only
pretended to.

I think this is for all the people who went into a relationship with someone for something that they never received. I won't support you and say that you should have gotten what you wanted from the relationship because I don't really know what it is that you wanted. However, I won't say you were wrong for going into a relationship in order to obtain something, because we all do it. Some of us don't think much about it, whether it's for the pure fact of company or just wanting to feel special to someone--or anything else for that matter. Others will think about it a lot, and wonder if it is right what they are doing, etcetera.
I don't think it is wrong to expect something out of a relationship, especially one where you are giving. However, you should always keep in mind that people are people and each person has their own mind. Just because you do something for them does not mean they need to do something back. You should just follow your heart and what you think is right. What happens along the way will only further add support to the decisions you make, and that's that.
