040514: Updates~

So, I just thought I'd share with you guys something that I drew. I haven't worked on poetry as much, but I have been writing. I will be queuing up my poems for the regular daily updates and post whatever complete short stories I have. Now that TPPC is complete, I will finally post up the full story and move onto TPPE. :) Thanks for being patient with me~

032514: Updates!

Sorry for my inactivity, guys! I've been working on a lot of projects and working on a lack of sleep for that matter.
I promise I'll be back next month, bright and early when April starts :)

022514: Sorry!

I know I said on Sunday that I'd have it out in a few hours, but deadlines are approaching and I'm basically doomed until Thursday.

I still have my queue up and prepared though, for those of you who still like my poetry.
I might queue up a few more of my short stories, too.
So, please forgive me Dx

022314: AE Housman

I'm currently working on a project for my poetry class and I've chosen the poem "Oh who is that young sinner with the handcuffs on his wrists?" by AE Housman. I'm actually not too sure about the title of the poem, because I've gotten different sources saying different things (they'd either say its title is what I just type or it is "The Colour of His Hair"). Ah, well. In my essay, I will be referring to it as "The Colour of His Hair" because it is shorter (and sounds better to me), though I know the likelihood of that actually being its original title is very small (these nineteenth century poets seem to never title their poems @_@).

I thought I'd share the poem with you guys, because I honestly love it a lot :)
"Oh who is that young sinner with the handcuffs on his wrists?
And what has he been after, that they groan and shake their fists?
And wherefore is he wearing such a conscience-stricken air?
Oh they’re taking him to prison for the colour of his hair.

‘Tis a shame to human nature, such a head of hair as his;
In the good old time ’twas hanging for the colour that it is;
Though hanging isn’t bad enough and flaying would be fair
For the nameless and abominable colour of his hair.

Oh a deal of pains he’s taken and a pretty price he’s paid
To hide his poll or dye it of a mentionable shade;
But they’ve pulled the beggar’s hat off for the world to see and stare,
And they’re haling him to justice for the colour of his hair.

Now ’tis oakum for his fingers and the treadmill for his feet,
And the quarry-gang on Portland in the cold and in the heat,
And between his spells of labour in the time he has to spare
He can curse the God that made him for the colour of his hair."

There is also another poem by Housman that I love a lot as well, but I ultimately chose to focus on the one shown above instead of this one. I was able to relate more to "The Colour of His Hair" than all the other poems written by him that caught my interest.
This poem is titled "If truth in hearts that perish" and it goes like this:
If truth in hearts that perish
      Could move the powers on high,
I think the love I bear you
      Should make you not to die.

Sure, sure, if stedfast meaning,
      If single thought could save,
The world might end to-morrow,
      You should not see the grave.

This long and sure-set liking,
      This boundless will to please,
 - Oh, you should live for ever
      If there were help in these.

But now, since all is idle,
      To this lost heart be kind,
Ere to a town you journey
      Where friends are ill to find.

I'll be back (most likely in a few hours--after this project is complete) to update on Pokemon! My Way, so see you guys then! :)

022214: Updates!

Okay!
So I've decided on how I want to write Pokemon! My Way.
Each of the individual chapters will be written in the perspective of a particular character (I will make mention of who the character is in the beginning of the chapter, though as the series progresses, hopefully you won't need the indication because I might get good at making these characters humans with distinct personalities :3). That means it will be first-person narrative~ Yeah yeah~
Some of the chapters may be written in third-person (such as major events that involve a lot of the characters in a lot of ways/things that take place in a lot of different places (because characters can't be in two places at once)).
Because of this thought, it has made my writing experience much simpler. I will be able to get a feel of the characters better and pull out more chapters in the future that will use the original third-person narrative thought. For now, these characters are a bit foreign to me. Though this story line has been living with me for years, I never took the time to jot down scenarios or personalities like I did with my other series. So this will honestly help a lot! And perhaps help you, the reader, relate more often (because I tend to add a lot of second-person narrative to my stories--especially the first-person narrative ones).

Well, see you guys soon!

022014: Updates!

So, I will be setting a queue (I couldn't figure out how before...lol) that will post something by me every day or two between the hours of 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time).
Updates on Pokemon! My Way will be posted off queue (meaning at a more irregular pace), likely every few days or so. However, I promise to update a chapter a week, at the very least, so please still look forward to it! :)

I've created a section just for Pokemon! My Way chapters, too. Just look to the right and look for the tab that says "Pokemon! My Way". Granted, it will only show the posts in the order of the newest to oldest, but it should be okay! I've also labeled each chapter with their respective names and chapter numbers, so you can always just search them up on my blog~
I also added a section for all my stories (titled "These Words are My Mind") and poems (titled "Let's Call This My Heart"). Yay for easy navigation~ :)
I'll add more sections to the blog as the topics spread and the posts grow in numbers.

Anyways, that's all for now. It's almost 9:00 AM and I haven't slept...LOL. My sleeping habits are really bad...if you haven't noticed before. Good night/morning guys! See you soon :)

021113: Updates!

I'm thinking about posting up chapters of a book I was dreaming about writing since the dawn of my life (lol).
What is it about? It's nothing other than...-drum roll- POKEMON!
Yes!
Pokemon!
LOL.
I remember all the fanfictions about animes and gaming franchises, and I have to say...it's been my dream to submit stories of my own creation revolving around the little creatures of awesomeness.
I always figured that if I ever got to putting the stories out in public, it'd be online (and for free), because of a copyright issue...and I still don't know how spin-off series works in terms of franchises...
But yeah.
That's my idea ^^;
So, look forward to a chapter of Pokemon! My Way every few days or so.

I'm also thinking of creating narrations and all that for manga series :D It'll keep me on the track of bettering my writing skills, without having to always have a new idea to write about and worry whether or not I should publicise it. Everything will be there for me--I just need to pretty it up a bit with words.
And on that note, I'll probably be posting up photoshop edits a lot more because of the narrations and stuff.

Haha. Well, that's all for now.
Talk to you guys later~
